Marrakech or Rajasthan
Every family we speak to has this argument. Here is the honest version, including when Rajasthan is the better answer.
Side by side
| Marrakech | Rajasthan | |
|---|---|---|
| Flight from London | 3h 40m direct | 8h 30m direct to Delhi, then onward |
| Flight from Dubai | 7h 30m | 3h to Delhi, then onward |
| Flight from Mumbai | One stop | Domestic |
| Palace architecture | Arches, courtyards, zellige, ochre | Arches, courtyards, marble, sandstone |
| Peak season | Mar–May · Sep–Nov | Nov–Feb |
| Guest capacity | 150 – 800 at private estates | Comparable at heritage palaces |
| Suits | Guests concentrated in the UK, Europe and the Gulf | Guests concentrated in India |
It comes down to where your guests live

If most of the guest list is flying from the UK, Europe or the Gulf, Marrakech moves the travel burden off the majority and gives you the same palace vocabulary. If most of your family is already in India, Rajasthan is almost certainly the better answer, and we will tell you so.
